Sunrise ❖ Sunset ❖ Clouds ❖ Night
I love looking at the Australian sky. Click on a photo to open a new window.
I usually don’t get up in time for sunrise, but every so often there are some spectacular ones.
A sunrise that greeted me when I was living in Mount Colah.
Fairy Meadow beach, Wollongong.
New England National Park, early in the morning. It was amazing looking down on the clouds.
Lindfield, at the back of my mum’s place.
I have a thing for sunsets!
They can be golden and soft ...
Intense pink ...
Or a soft pink.
Various shades of orange.
I love it when there is a mixture of colours.
There can be beautiful cloud patterns.
Rays shining through the clouds.
Colour transitions in sunsets can look amazing.
Some sunsets look like paintings to me.
Sunsets over water looks very beautiful.
Silhouettes of trees also look nice.
Some other sunsets I liked.
I’m pretty fond of clouds.
These ones look interesting to me.
Even grey clouds can look nice sometimes.
I love the contrast between the canola flowers and the dark sky.
Minutes before a hail storm in Roseville.
Clouds look different at night.
The moon looks pretty with clouds around it.
This photo was just before sunset with a blue sky (changed to black to look more natural).
A starry sky. Stars have all kinds of colours if you look closely.
There is more background light in Sydney, but you can still see the stars.
The Milky Way (enhanced a little).
Star trails. You can see the path of a couple of aeroplanes in the second one.
