Rabbits ❖ Lizards ❖ Frogs ❖ Snakes ❖ Birds
I live in the north part of Sydney. Here are some non-human inhabitants.
There are lots of rabbits, which I have mixed feelings about – it’s nice to see animals generally, but rabbits aren’t native.
A baby black rabbit.
Skinks are pretty common.
A lizard by a bush track in Hornsby.
A blue tongue lizard near my door (video).
Some water dragons (who love creeks).
Geckos sometimes came out at night when I was in Mount Colah.
An Eastern Bearded Dragon. It hissed at me as a warning!
I found this frog in the garden on a rainy day in Mount Colah.
Tadpoles in a puddle.
Diamond pythons (video).
A red belly black snake (photo is from Taronga Zoo).
Sulphur crested cockatoos, who can be noisy.
Rainbow lorikeets. I love the sound they make.
Crimson rosellas.
King parrots.
Galah.
A kookaburra hoping for food.
A healthy looking brush turkey.
Brush turkeys dig huge dirt mounds.
