New England National Park is a beautiful area half way between Armidale and Coffs Harbour. It has lots of mountains, rivers and rainforest (walks map).

Early dawn on the way ...
Looking down on the clouds at Point Lookout (and a video).
There is sparse forest on the way up to the lookout, with a few cows around.
Lots of mountain views on the trails.
I love this spot.
A rushing stream.
So green!
A leaf covered path.
Plants growing on other plants.
Lots of vines ...
Moss covered rocks.
A bird that let me get really close ... I think it was trying to keep warm by not moving.
Wallaby near Thungutti camping ground.
Interesting pattern on this slug.
Lots of these flowers around.
Plenty of fungi.
I think something had been eating this!
Pretty seed pods.

Some ice crystals.
Curly ice!
Lots of frozen puddles, which made it crunchy underfoot.
Natural ice sculpture – a branch had been sprayed with mist from a waterfall, which had frozen overnight (video).
Icicles!
Some leaves got encased in ice.
Water usually trickles down this rock ... now it was all icicles.
Weeping Rock was covered in ice. It normally looks like this ...
... but now it looked like this:
By the time I got there there the ice was melting, and bits were breaking off and falling from the cliff (video 1, video 2).
